Our Grandma Carli was always renowned in our neighborhood and extended family for her outstanding fruit cakes. Her signature recipe came from her grandmother and it was always a closely guarded secret.

Before the holidays, Grandma Carli would take out her weathered recipe card and bake many cakes to share with us. We would always beg her for the recipe, but she said she would share it when the time was right.

One holiday season, she asked us to join her in the kitchen. She shared the coveted recipe with us, and demonstrated how to bake it just right. Sadly, those were the last cakes she baked.

We decided to continue Grandma Carli’s legacy and replicate her famous fruitcake that we can share with all of you. We hope you enjoy every bite!
